Everyone wants to get a great car at a bargain price.

But ask the previous owner for any service records that they may have.

Many private owners proudly display their maintenance history books as a selling point. A new car dealer may provide this information if the vehicle originally was purchased and serviced there. But a cheap price on a car may mean you are buying some ones expensive repairs that you may not know about yet , and that is no bargain! Also it’s a good idea to go to the local Registry and request a title history report , find out if the vehicle has been in any serious accidents , where and how it has been registered. Do some research , check the reputation of the vehicle you are looking at , there are some great sources online like the Lemon-Aid Car Guide , J.D Power and Associates or Consumer Reports. And remember to budget in some repair or maintenance into your purchase price.

At C.A.R.S. Automotive, we want to help you try to find those hidden issues and can perform a “Pre Purchase Inspection” with the following tests on the vehicle that you are considering.

  • Road Test , (Engine Performance and Drivability)
  • Visual Examination of the Body, Lights Glass and Safety Systems
